Overview

AnimateImage lets you turn a single photo, or a set of photos, into a short animated clip. The service works entirely in the browser and offers a free trial of ten credits to test the animation models.

You begin by uploading a picture or drawing, then typing a simple description of the motion you want. Next, choose one of the 18 video models that the site lists, such as Kling V3 Turbo, Hailuo 2.3, or Seedance 2.0. The chosen model interprets the image and the motion prompt to generate a clip that lasts up to 15 seconds. Clip resolution depends on the subscription plan: the free tier produces 768 p output on the Hailuo 2.3 Standard model; the Basic plan yields 1080 p; and the Pro plan adds 4K output for models Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0. New users start with 10 free credits to create one test clip. If you already have an animated GIF, the same website hosts six additional tools that resize, compress, remove backgrounds, add text, or convert PNG sequences to GIF, each operating locally in your browser without requiring credits or a sign‑up.

AnimateImage offers three animation modes. In the “One Photo” mode, a single image becomes a moving clip. The “Two Frames” mode lets you supply a start and an end photo; the studio then interpolates the motion between those frames. The “Many References” mode accepts up to nine reference images of the same subject, helping the model maintain the subject's appearance throughout the animation. Some models support all three modes, while others, like Seedance 2.0 and HappyHorse, accept multiple references but only a single source image for the motion prompt. A few models, Hailuo 02 Pro and Veo Lite, allow a first and last frame on the free plan, whereas others require a paid plan to use this feature.

If your goal is a short, high‑resolution animation of a single portrait or product, the Free plan may suit you, especially with Kling V3 Turbo or Wan 2.6. For higher resolution or longer clips, consider Basic or Pro. The site lists individual model capabilities, such as maximum reference count or supported output resolution, to help you choose the right option.
