Overview

IsSafeSite screenshot

IsSafeSite is a free website security scanner that produces a PDF audit with remediation steps in roughly 30 seconds. You paste a single URL, the service runs about 30 checks, and you receive a scored report that includes a letter grade, CVSS ratings and concrete fix instructions.

The tool is aimed at webmasters, SEO professionals and security teams who need quick, actionable findings rather than raw data dumps. It works without installing software, adding agents or changing code; you simply enter the site address on the web interface. The free tier allows three scans per day and does not require a credit card, making it suitable for personal sites, blogs or small projects.

When you start a scan, IsSafeSite runs a suite of checks in parallel. The checks cover SSL/TLS certificate validity, security headers (CSP, HSTS, X‑Frame‑Options, etc.), CORS configuration, mixed‑content issues, exposed files such as .env or .git, CMS detection with version and plugin information, WAF/CDN fingerprinting, email‑security records (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), dangerous HTTP methods, known JavaScript library vulnerabilities, privacy‑compliance items like cookie consent, SEO and accessibility signals, and performance metrics such as TTFB and compression. After the analysis, the platform generates a PDF that lists each issue, assigns a severity score, and provides step‑by‑step remediation guidance. You can then apply the fixes, re‑scan, and watch the security score improve.

If you need more frequent scanning or deeper analysis, paid plans add higher daily scan limits, additional scan depths (Standard and Deep), custom report templates, white‑label PDFs and API access. The Pro plan offers 50 scans per day and the Hunter plan provides unlimited scans, batch CSV imports and priority support. All plans share the same 30+ check engine, so the core coverage remains consistent across tiers.
