Overview

NeverApply is an AI‑driven job‑search agent that finds openings matching your profile, customizes your resume and cover letter for each role, answers screening questions, and submits applications after you approve them. In addition to the core application workflow, the service offers interview‑preparation material and a hosted MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients search and apply through OAuth.
The process begins when you upload a resume file to the web interface. Otto, the automation engine, parses the document to extract your work history, skills and education. It then continuously monitors new job listings across multiple boards; when a posting meets a high similarity score, the system presents you with a short list, typically five jobs, that fit your profile. For each selected role, Otto rewrites your resume and generates a cover letter that highlights the most relevant experience, using the original resume as the primary input. When you click “apply,” Otto fills every required field in the application form, name, email, phone, work‑authorization status, and any free‑text questions such as “Why do you want to work here?”, by pulling data from the tailored documents and your profile answers. The completed application is sent from Otto's own email address, and a receipt is stored in a dedicated inbox that separates interview requests from generic spam. After submission, any replies are routed to this inbox, keeping your personal email clean.
NeverApply also provides a set of interview‑prep tools. Based on the information in your resume, the system suggests likely interview questions and offers suggested answers, helping you prepare for the next stage after the application is accepted. The hosted MCP connector adds a layer of flexibility: by linking an AI model such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor via OAuth, you can ask the connected AI to “find me remote operations jobs” and have those results fed directly into the same matching and application pipeline. The free tier grants ten applications, after which Pro and Max plans increase the application quota; the site mentions that more than 3 000 job seekers already use the platform.
Typical inputs include a resume file (PDF or DOCX), optional answers to screening questions, and OAuth credentials for an MCP client.
