Overview

Amped Studio is an online music production studio, also called a DAW, that runs in your browser with no downloads. You can record, arrange and mix tracks, and it adds AI tools that generate compositions and separate songs into stems. It is designed so beginners can start in minutes while advanced users still get serious features.

AI tools

The AI assistant generates a composition in a style you choose, such as hip-hop, jazz, techno, 90s house, cinematic, folk, country or 70s. You set the tempo, listen to the result, and then edit the generated stems and add effects inside the studio. A song splitter takes an uploaded track and returns separate instrumental and vocal parts, useful for remixes, karaoke or practice.

Studio features

Amped Studio includes a set of virtual instruments, from bass to lead, and works with external MIDI controllers. Higher plans support VST 3 plugins. It ships with original samples in many styles, from house to reggae. Collaboration works by sharing a link so a friend can join the project and record their part.

Who it is for

The site describes paths for beginners and vocalists writing first melodies, content creators recording voice and effects for videos and shorts, music education with lessons in creation, theory and practice, and advanced users who mix with plugins. An education plan is offered for schools.

Pricing

The free Starter plan shows ads and allows unlimited projects with up to 16 tracks, but has no project export, exports only MP3, includes five virtual instruments and has no storage for external audio files or VST support. Paid plans remove these limits and can be billed monthly or yearly, with up to 20 percent off yearly. Check the pricing page for current details.

Things to consider

Browser studios depend on your internet connection and computer, and latency when recording can be higher than in desktop software, so test with your audio interface first. Before releasing AI-generated music or remixes made with the song splitter, check the licence terms and make sure you have rights to any uploaded songs. The free plan is fine for learning, but serious work needs a paid plan for export and storage.
