Overview

ReelSongFinder screenshot

ReelSongFinder lets you identify the track behind an Instagram Reel or TikTok video by pasting a public link. After a short processing time, it supplies a clickable link that opens the song directly on Spotify or Apple Music for quick listening.

The service accepts raw video files and public links from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. For TikTok and Instagram, you paste a link that looks like `https://tiktok.com/…`, `https://vm.tiktok.com/…`, `https://vt.tiktok.com/…`, or `https://tiktok.com/t/…`. It also accepts Instagram Reel URLs. When the link is submitted, the audio from the file is extracted and sent to the recognition engine. If the match is successful, the tool displays the official song title, the artist, and a small icon that takes you straight to the track on the chosen streaming platform. The recognition pause occurs automatically after payment if a free daily match has been used. Re-running the same link does not trigger a new match against the audio database. For private, deleted, or region‑blocked videos, ReelSongFinder reports that no match can be made and no charge is applied; in these cases a screen recording of the visible playback can be uploaded, allowing audio extraction even when the original post is inaccessible.

The workflow is tailored for casual listeners who have seen a clip and want the full song. It is also useful for creators who need the official track for reuse or licensing. Users who never see a song title in the app's “original sound” label can still step through the tool and obtain the track, but it may not succeed if the original soundtrack was removed or heavily altered. The tool does not handle non‑public links or videos behind login walls, and it is not integrated with other music libraries beyond Spotify and Apple Music. Because its database relies on audio matching, extreme pitch shifts, voice‑heavy playback, or heavily edited reproductions can cause mismatches or failures.
