Overview

SongCoverGen lets you upload a recording you own and receive a new arrangement that keeps the original melody but changes genre, mood, instrumentation, or lyrics. The service does not clone any existing voice; it rebuilds the musical backing around your tune. You can download the result as an MP3, and a Business‑level plan is required for commercial use.

The tool is aimed at songwriters, creators, and bands who want to explore how their song sounds in different styles without booking a studio. After you upload an MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG file (up to 50 MB and 8 minutes long), you choose between Custom mode and Simple mode. Custom mode asks for a title, a style description, and a lyrics box that accepts up to 5,000 characters; you may paste the original words or write new ones. Simple mode lets you provide a brief description of up to 500 characters, and the system generates fresh lyrics automatically. An instrumental option removes vocals entirely, giving you a backing track for rehearsal or karaoke.

To guide the generation you can specify the genre, mood, tempo, and instruments, set a style weight that influences how strongly the description shapes the arrangement, and list styles to exclude (up to 200 characters). A vocal preference toggle lets you request a male or female voice, though it is not guaranteed. The service runs on three model tiers, V6 Mini, V6, and V6 Wild, each tied to different subscription levels; V6 Mini is available with free one‑time credits, while V6 and V6 Wild require Basic or higher plans. After the AI produces the cover, you listen on the site and download the MP3; further options such as vocal separation or WAV export are not included in the basic download.
